This is not a light product. One would expect such a solid “feeling” product to have a strong beam and long battery life. My wife and I use it on our evening walks. Of the 1 hr walk, we may have it on about 40 mins…..and by the 4th or 5th day, the beam is so weak that I have to charge it up…. .basically, we are barely getting 3 hrs out of a fully charged battery.

I received my light two days ago it is bright enough for my needs it is not a bad light for the price I have not had it long enough to comment on the durability or battery life I did have a question regarding whether the battery came charged or not when I opened the package and read the instructions regarding charging the battery it said if the charger led did not change from green to red when charging try to reposition the battery unit the light turns red I did this to no avail I sent a email to the seller they sent back to pdf of the user manual I went to my shop and dug out my multimeter and the battery it tested ok the only thing I would say to the seller is that they should know their products better I think no has ever looked at or used the light I have 20 plus years quality assurance experience

I love these. I have two. When one finally needs charging I simply pick up my second one and start charging the first one. I always have one fully charged and ready to go, even if my power goes off. I’ve had, and been using these for a few years with no problem at all. They exceeded my expectations and I’ll never use another flashlite.

I had an issue with the hand strap breaking within the first two weeks of use. They quickly replaced the product with a new one which I received today. Great service. I just hope the same issue doesn’t occur as the type of strap is quite thin for such a high quality product. We will see.

Just received the light box it was shipped in appears to have been run over by a tank. I imagine that’s the shipper’s responsibility. Only one airbag inside the box which was popped. Package wrapped very tightly I attempted to open up as carefully as possible. It’s still did not prevent me from accidentally cutting through the carrying cord. When I opened up the battery compartment a rubber gasket fell out which had been severed and I have no idea what purpose that serves since I cannot find anything it would fit had it not been cut.I will follow up with opinions as to how the light works it certainly has a very tough feel to it like it will stand up to a good beating. First test outside and it seems to be quite bright

Edit: Okay it has worked so well that I need to update! I think perhaps the highest recommendation is whether you would purchase it again……and today I received my second one to put in the other car. Truly surprised at how a smallish flashlight can produce such light. No it is not like a searchlight, but it is much brighter than other similar flashlights I have which are larger and which cost more! Basically you don’t want a huge flashlight for the car. You want one that will fit in your glove box of in a side pocket which is easily reachable and dependable. I put some extra batteries in the case just to be safe. The rechargeable battery is the only thing I would change. I would rather have a long life battery that you replace every year or so as charging in the car is not very convenient. This charger goes into a wall outlet meaning you have to take it out of the car to charge it and that is the only thing I would change. The little box is padded and I have dropped it on the cement floor and the flashlight was protected. Typically don’t update/edit a 5 star review unless there has been a change since I initially wrote the first one. This one however has performed beyond my expectation and felt it was deserving of an update!I had left my prior car flashlight in the car I traded in and wanted to replace it with one similar. I wanted one that was very bright and had both strobe and SOS flashing. Being able to focus the beam in tightly or keep it wide was another item I wanted. This fits the bill and does even more. Unlike my prior flashlight, this one comes in a neat little plastic case which holds the charger and battery as well as the flashlight. I have a compact car and thought it might not fit, but proved to fit perfectly in my Mini glove box.I don’t know how many times over the years I have used the car flashlight but it is a lot. From searching for dropped keys under the seat, to arriving home without lights on making it tough to see the door knob, to using it to read a map or a book, well the uses were more than the emergency ones for which I purchased it. I would never own a car without having a decent flashlight. This one is more than decent. There was also room in the case for me to put several regular batteries. That way if when I need it the rechargeable one needs charging, I will be able to install those and have it function immediately. One of the things that bugged me about my old one was it was very difficult to move between the various light modes. It required a just so light touch and if you hit it too hard, it would just turn off rather than moving to the next mode. This one automatically moves to the next mode without having to guess how hard to push the button. You turn it on, then off and then immediately back on again and it goes to the next mode. Turn it off and then immediately back on and it cycles to the next one. This is way easier.I would definitely recommend this. I have not had time to check the battery life, but like most rechargeable batteries assume that how long it lasts is a function of how often it is used and how long it has been since you last charged it. Because this one will also run on regular batteries, that isn’t a factor for me. Likewise I didn’t test it for water proof. While I don’t have any plans to drop it in a lake, should I drop it in a puddle and it lives I will be more than satisified.

The light is fine, bright and expands from spot to flood. The problem is the battery needs to be taken out to be recharged in a separate charging station that is quite cheap. Its a real pain in the @ss. Other flashlights like the Anker Bolder which plugs into a USB port without removing the battery. Oh well. Comes with a 3-AAA battery adapter which works fine as well.

I had another trutorch light that has the same battery , but I lost my charger for it. I now have universal batteries and charger for this flashlight and my other one. They both have an SOS feature and strobe effect. And clear instructions on how to activate both features. Very easy to operate. I’m very pleased

Purchased for safety reasons while walking the dog. Definitely a bright flashlight, bright enough that when I shined it in an alligators eyes they turned red. Unable to say for certain if that’s an indication of the brightness or that alligators are the demonic creatures. The alligator did follow the light towards the waters edge, towards me. As I ran away, I dropped the flashlight. I ran most of the way home, got in my car, circled the block around the pond a few times before feeling it was safe to exit my vehicle to retrieve my flashlight. The flashlight was still in working condition after being dropped in the damp grass & left on for over an hour.

Ok I bought this Last summer of 2016, charged it for work, used it a few minutes each night, was like ok blah and tossed it into my center console in my F250 in July 2016. Fast forward July 2017, I pull it out while camping and go hmm lets see how it works and poof it fired up bright as could be. This has been in a center console for 1 year in Las Vegas heat, ok wow, good battery. Now in the desert in open no reflective area I was sorely unimpressed, however in the woods of Utah, this thing was like daylight (had things to reflect off of/bounce off of) and ran it every night for multiple times and never had it die off. Even dropped it twice 3′ on to concrete no issues.Fit and finish, its tight to unscrew, fine threads and hard to slide but, it holds up.Button, not a fan of the multi function button, wish it was on and off and a separate select feature for intensity and flash but, its functional and held up to multiple cycles. The battery, What can I say, it holds a charge! The charger is kind of cheap and hokey but works.I give this unit 5 stars as for its price point, the lumes and it works and stays working it is hard to beat. You can pay more for fine finish or get this and beat it up and abuse it and it works.

The first package came damaged, the plastic case was shattered but I told dealer that the contents were unharmed. I used the link included with the flashlight and reported what had happened. To my surprise they answered the same day and not only did they replace the case but included another flashlight. This was the quickest and most painless customer service I have ever seen. Great company to work with will buy more products in the future. Flashlight is well made and sturdy, very bright.
